Warren Stutt showed a chart in his talk at the May 2019 Conference on the 9/11 Pentagon Evidence. When he compared the prior flights on the FDR, he found the BTS records used N5BPA1 as the counterpart to the #N64AA tail-number that goes with AAL77.
I suspect the N68PA1 was the tail-number originally, possibly because of the plane being in the Pacific Southwest Airways (PSA) fleet. PSA was acquired by US Air, followed by American Airlines acquiring US Air. This has not been researched to see if the history can be documented.
The chart title presented by Stutt is "Flights derived from the FDR data."
