However, I have to disagree with both Kevin's and Oliver's agreement that The Third Reich did not consider the ability of the Soviets to produce massive amounts of munitions and arms.

By that point however, the Wehrmacht had literally destroyed Russia's ability to produce weapons in any sizeable amount since Stalin was only able to move around 10% of Russia's vast industrial based beyond the Urals.
I read Sean McMeekin's book, "Stalin's War". It is an excellent book in terms of readability and factual information.
He also corroborates John Mosier's 2010 work, "Death Ride".
In addition, though McMeekin didn't explicitly do so, he also corroborates Viktor Suvorov's work on Stalin's plans to invade all of Europe through Germany (ie: "The Chief Culprit").
I don't view The Third Reich from the western point of view since it is so one-sided and filled with so much atrocity propaganda.
