Alcohol has a very low boiling/evaporation point, and this has to cook a real long time with lots of stirring, so there will be no alcohol at all in the final product. :-)

Happy Thanksgiving! I give thanks for people like you who will "go there". At least investigate, question, entertain notions that are too readily dismissed by the majority. (I hope to adjust the recipe and try adding some whole cloves- requires a lot of stirring, and you don't come up with that much goop for the time you put in, the cinnamon sticks and orange peels come out, but it is good. I've already started adding some powdered cinnamon. Seems like, no matter how long and hard you cook those cinnamon sticks, not all that much comes out in the mix.)
